This is only the second time I’ve done this hike in the last few years, and I think I’m hooked! It’s so beautiful and I want to do more of it.
Beautiful scene and light, with lovely frame-in-the-frame composition. I can almost smell the air!! By the way, what is the name of the theme on your blog? Speaking of being hooked, I once had it but know it’s no longer in use, and miss it. Don’t let it go … It’s a classic.

Thank you! It’s suuuuch an old theme but I’ve always ❤️’d it and haven’t been able to bring myself to change it to something else so far. 😂 The theme right now is Duotone.

Thank you so much for letting me know, Sheri. I’ve been scratching my head trying to find something like this theme. Seems you can still get it at WP.org but not here. Don’t let it go as long as you can, there is nothing else like it.

I made a theme a while ago that pulls colors from images as part of the design… but it’s oooooold and surely hinky at this point. It has some neat code for the colors included though in case you want to check it out or tinker! 😊 https://github.com/designsimply/photo-addict You can see it in action at http://designsimply.com/2011/08/31/oregon-coast/imag4774/ (the random images at the top are a work-in-progress and a separate plugin)
For something ready to go out of the box, simple and nice for photos, I like the Cubic. https://wordpress.org/themes/cubic/

Thank you for those links Sheri. That is very cool what you did. I don’t know how to tinker with it as you offered. I don’t know why WP.com has not made a theme to compliment Duotone, as they did for Monotone before it. Presently on the photo blog I have public I’m using Revelar. Doesn’t have changing background or EXIF data on the posts, but it is very minimalist. Enjoy your day! — Frank
